Kind words

Loved by local pets and their people.

★★★★★
“I have been bringing both my dogs here and they're awesome every time. One of my dogs is a large bull mastiff, who's a senior, new to grooming, and dog reactive. They work with us and book her in when they're slow, and take their time with her so she's not stressed out. Wouldn't trust her with any other groomer!”

“Thank you so much for dealing so well with my nervous dog and for being so gentle with him. Great Service!”

— Natalie De Benedictis

★★★★★
“I have a very senior dog, 18, and he was groomed with love. He was so happy, and handsome, when I picked him up I almost cried.”

— Gloria Millar

★★★★★
“We were so worried that she would be a challenge at almost 2yrs old and not let anyone touch her. Boy did she fool us lol. We are beyond grateful to have taken her to Knotty Dogs. The staff there were amazing! They did an incredible job, and our dog Charlee was so happy when she was done.”

“I love Knotty dogs. They are the best! Really put alot of love and care into my sweet fir baby :). Highly recommend. Best on Vancouver Island without a doubt!”

FAQ

Good to know.

Straightforward answers to the questions we hear most often.

How long does a grooming appointment take?

Most grooming appointments take approximately 1–3 hours, with smaller dogs typically taking around 2 hours. Larger, heavily coated or more involved grooms may take longer. We work at a pace that suits each pet and will contact you when they’re ready for pickup.

How often should I book my pet?

Depending on breed, coat and lifestyle, some pets do best on a regular 4–8 week schedule, while others may only need grooming seasonally or as needed.

Do you use kennels?

We are primarily kennel-free and love having dogs relax comfortably with us whenever possible. Kennels are available when needed for safety, comfort or dogs who prefer their own space.

Do you groom senior dogs?

Absolutely. We adjust the groom to suit each dog’s comfort, mobility and individual needs, taking breaks and providing extra support when appropriate.

Do you groom cats?

Yes. Cat grooming is available exclusively at our Duncan location, with appointments tailored to each cat’s individual needs.
